Cold Lake RCMP arrest man after stolen pickup recovered

Cold Lake RCMP arrested a 24-year-old man after locating a stolen pickup truck Friday evening.

Police say officers received a report of a stolen truck on Jan. 24. While on patrol, RCMP received multiple public sightings of the vehicle in Cold Lake. The truck was later located on Range Road 413, where the driver was arrested and the vehicle recovered.

Cory Taylor of Cold Lake is charged with two counts of obstructing a peace officer, driving while unauthorized and theft of a truck.

Taylor was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on Feb. 11.

RCMP thanked members of the public who reported sightings of the stolen vehicle.
