Home Hardware plants a seed for charity

Home Hardware Lloydminster is pleased to announce the return of Grow a Row for its second year.

Through Grow A Row Lloydminster, residents are encouraged to donate a portion of their garden bounty to the Olive Tree. It’s a labour of love for yourself, your family and your community.

The Olive Tree offers community meals three times a week for low-income residents and seniors, as well as creating and distributing food hampers for seniors and schools in the area.

With grocery costs rising, donations of fresh produce can go a long way to offset their grocery bills.

The Olive Tree is able to accept fresh donations of any variety…potatoes, beets, zucchini, carrots, beans, onions, strawberries and more.

When gardeners drop off their donations, they will be given a ballot to enter into a draw for a $100 Home Hardware gift card.

Share the joy on social media using #growarowyll and/or #homehardwarelloyd.

Multiple donations and entries will be accepted giving local producers the chance to donate whatever is in season as often as they like.

Home Hardware’s hope is that Grow A Row Lloydminster not only provides The Olive Tree with additional donations but inspires a love of gardening and community involvement in families throughout the area.
