On Dec. 16, after a drug investigation, Lloydminster General Investigations Section (GIS), general duty, and Lloydminster Police Dog Services (PDS), executed search warrants on multiple residences and a business in Lloydminster. As a result of the search warrants, the following was seized:
- 1.1 kg of suspected Cocaine
- $7000.00 Canadian currency
- Drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
- 5 lbs of Illicit Cannabis
- A quantity of suspected Methamphetamine and Heroin
Cody Mackenzie, 39, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Resist / obstruct Peace Officer
Sara Mackenzie, 33, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Fail to comply with Release Order
Susie Lovegrove, 38, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Proceeds of Crime under $5000
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
- Possession of Illicit Tobacco product
- Possession for the Purpose of selling unstamped Tobacco
Joshua Dean Van Metre, 37, a resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Proceeds of Crime under $5000
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of Illicit Tobacco product
- Possession for the purpose of selling unstamped Tobacco
Cody Mackenzie and Sara Mackenzie were released by a Justice of the Peace on $500.00 cash bail and appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Dec. 19. Van Metre and Lovegrove were remanded in custody and appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Dec. 19.
The following individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants and have been released with future court dates.
- Darlana Dixon
- Chantel McKenzie
- Matthew Nicholson
A 35-year-old male was also arrested, released, and is facing the following new charges:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Fail to Comply
