On March 6 at approximately 1:16 a.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a complaint of a crashed vehicle in the area of Range Road 20 and Township Road 532, near Marwayne. Officers attended to the location and determined the vehicle involved had been stolen from Onion Lake and four individuals had fled on foot from the vehicle. With assistance from Vermilion and Lloydminster RCMP members, all four individuals were located and taken into custody. As a result of the investigation, the stolen vehicle was recovered and charges laid as follows:
Delaney Dillon, 21, a resident of Onion Lake, was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.
Shayden Hill, 21, a resident of Onion Lake, was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.
Romeo Dillon, 18, a resident of Onion Lake, was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.
The fourth individual is a young offender and cannot be named, but was also charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.
Dillon and the young offender were each released on an Undertaking with court set for April 25 at Lloydminster Provincial Court. Dillon and Hill were both held in custody for a Judicial Interim Release Hearings. Following the hearings, Dillon was remanded into custody with court set for March 14 at Lloydminster Provincial Court, while Hill was released on a release order with court set for March 28 at Lloydminster Provincial Court.
