Darrell Wayne Haight

HAIGHT: It is with profound sadness that the family of Darrell Wayne Haight announce his sudden passing on July 17th, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Darrell will be deeply missed by: his wife Verna; children, Carrie Lynne Trueman and her children, Sawyer & Sophie; Darrell (Katherine) Haight Jr. and their children Zachary, Alexander, Gabrielle, Angelina, and Julianna; and Kathy (Chad) Wood and their children, Jayla, Jackson and Tucker; his siblings, Darlyne (Terry) Gavigan, Donna Haight, Beverly (Gerry) Hart, Teri Haight, Larry (Jody) Haight, Lana (Rod) Pangracs; his father-in-law, Charles Challman; sister-in-law, Rose Davey; brothers-in- law, Martin (Veanna) Challman, Albert (Kerri) Challman, Robert Challman and Alvin Challman; as well as a great many nieces, nephews and friends. Darrell was predeceased by: his parents, Ira and Evelyn Haight; brother, Dennis Haight; and sisters, Dianne Shea and Jacqueline Henry. Darrell grew up in the Berrymoor area near Drayton Valley, Alberta before settling in Lloydminster during the early 1980’s. He was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his family. Darrell loved spending time fishing, camping and exploring nature on his ATV. A Celebration of Life was held at McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, AB at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 27th, 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Darrell’s memory to Lloydminster and Area Brain Injury Society, 4620 44th Street, Lloydminster, SK. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
