Schmidt: Gustave Fred “Gus” Schmidt passed away at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on August 25, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
Gus is lovingly remembered by: his wife, Helga; children, James Schmidt, Sheryl Luck and Sheldon Schmidt; grandchildren, Megan Luck (Shaun Gair) and Mitchell Luck; siblings, Betty Robertson, John (Barbara) Schmidt, Minard Schmidt and Mary Mazurek; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gus is predeceased by: his parents, Simon and Veronica Schmidt; siblings, Valentine Schmidt, Margaret Schmidt, Ann Ste. Marie, George Schmidt, Tony Schmidt, Ralph Schmidt, Rose Moser, Paul Schmidt and Joe Schmidt.
A Celebration of Life Social for Gus will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Moose Lodge, Lloydminster, Alberta commencing at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gus may be made to Canadian Red Cross or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
