Madeleine Vivian McTaggart RangeOct., 9, 1938 – Sept., 30, 2023 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Madeleine Vivian McTaggart Range. Madeleine is survived by her husband Ron Range, brother Dwight Carroll (Barbara), son Glenn McTaggart (Katy), adopted daughter Laura, grandchildren Mathew McTaggart, Tessa Verbeek and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents John Nicklaus (Joe) Carroll and mother Edna Pearl Carroll (Homenuik), and former husband Arthur McTaggart. She was born in Assiniboia Saskatchewan, raised on a farm near Verwood, last residing on a farm near Livelong Saskatchewan and passing away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, BC. Early work for Madeleine began in Regina and Moose Jaw for companies like Imperial Oil. Madeleine was married in Moose Jaw in 1957 to her first husband Arthur who was in the (RCAF), after the birth of her son Glenn they were transferred to Saint Jean, PQ., then to Zweibruchen, Germany, returning to Canada in 1968, reposted to Yorkton and finally Alsask. She served her Saskatchewan communities very well working and/or managing post offices in Alsask, Outlook, Redvers, Davidson, Grenfell, Leader and Biggar. Madeleine always enjoyed farm life in Saskatchewan. Her passion was owning/caring for horses and competing in various categories at rodeos. She met Ron Range during this time and they were married in Livelong on August 12, 2000. They resided at the farm nearby. She joined the Livelong community and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #192. Madeleine enjoyed her farm life with Ron, especially her gardens and raising cattle. Rest in peace Madeleine, you will be dearly missed, but your spirit will live on through the ones you touched. A celebration of Madeline’s life will be held in Livelong, Saskatchewan – date to be announced later in the New Year.
