The Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 2024 Business Excellence Awards.
There were a record 46 nominees and a record dinner turnout at the WLS Convention Centre the evening of Oct. 24.
Chamber president, Donna Schellenberg, acted as master of ceremonies and set the scene.
“Each year, during Small Business Week, more than 10,000 businesses come together at hundreds of events all across Canada to celebrate entrepreneurship and small business,” she said.
“It’s also an opportunity to learn and network, all with one another. We’re lucky to be along side those we are celebrating this week.”
Awards were presented to Glenda Elkow, Lifetime Achievement, Think Lloyd First Ambassador, Live With Kurt Price and Small Business of the Year, Maz Entertainment.
The award for Employer of the Year went to Mary Brown’s Famous Chicken & Taters. The award for Community Spirit was given to Bry-Tan Trucking and Crane.
Trestle River Homes won the Integrity Award while the Diversity Award went to Inclusion Lloydminster.
The award for the Non-Profit of the Year chosen by the Chamber’s board of directors, went to Homebase Lloydminster and the Entrepreneur of the Year award was presented to Marc’d Up Tattoos.
The award for the Downtown Business of the Year was presented to Integrated Therapies & Performance.
The award for customer service was given to R&D Plumbing with the award for Business Woman of the Year presented to It’s Time Promotions.
The coveted award for Business of the Year went to double winner, Maz Entertainment.
