Vermilion RCMP have charged an individual after they were found to be breaching their release conditions.
On Dec. 29, 2024, the Vermilion RCMP detachment conducted a curfew check and found the individual to be breaching.
On Jan. 4, the individual was located and taken into custody. Further investigation located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, Christian Ruston, a 30-year-old resident of the County of Vermilion River has been charged with: Two counts of failing to comply with release order and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP say this is one of the ways they hold people accountable to their release conditions.
