“Do not approach”- RCMP search for suspect

Battlefords RCMP are searching for a suspect after a stabbing on 18th Avenue on Jan. 24.

At about 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a serious assault at a residence in the area. Police say two men were involved in an altercation, during which one man was stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect then fled the scene. Police later confirmed the man was under court-ordered conditions, including a curfew monitored electronically and a ban on possessing knives.

Keaton Nicotine, 25, of North Battleford, is charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats, and failing to comply with release conditions. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

RCMP describe Nicotine as six feet tall and 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

“If you see him, do not approach,” police said in a statement. “Contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP or report anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).”

Officers actively investigate and urge the public to provide information about his whereabouts.
