Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for our region, warning conditions are favourable for the development of storms capable of producing damaging hail, wind and rain.
Local travel disruptions may occur due to heavy downpours, reduced visibility and flash flooding. Large hail is also possible and could cause injury and significant property damage.
Residents are urged to monitor weather alerts and take appropriate safety precautions. Environment Canada reminds the public “When thunder roars, go indoors.”
