Saskatchewan RCMP say a second suspect wanted in connection with a recent armed robbery on Thunderchild First Nation has been arrested.

The RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) arrested 22-year-old Dimetre Paskimin in Lloydminster on May 22. He made his first appearance in Lloydminster Provincial Court on May 25.
Paskimin was one of two men sought by police following a robbery involving a firearm at a residence on Thunderchild First Nation on May 9.
According to RCMP, officers responded to a report of the robbery at about 3:15 p.m. Investigators determined three suspects arrived at the property in a car and a truck, assaulted a resident and stole an ATV. The victim suffered minor injuries.
As the investigation progressed, police arrested several individuals and laid charges against multiple suspects. On May 12, Turtleford RCMP arrested 29-year-old Phoenix Standingwater on Thunderchild First Nation. He appeared in Onion Lake Provincial Court on May 13.
Standingwater and Paskimin had both been the subjects of arrest warrants issued in connection with the robbery investigation.
Paskimin is charged with robbery with a firearm, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence and assault with a weapon.

Police previously charged 25-year-old Rocky Wuttunee of Lloydminster, Alta., with robbery with a firearm. He is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 2.
The investigation also resulted in charges against four other individuals after a separate police pursuit near Thunderchild First Nation on May 9. RCMP said those individuals were not involved in the armed robbery but face charges related to drug trafficking, weapons possession, dangerous driving and other offences.
The investigation by Turtleford RCMP remains ongoing.
