Vandals targeted Holy Rosary High School (HRHS) overnight amid an ongoing police investigation into a local teacher, prompting the Lloydminster Catholic School Division (LCSD) to call for calm as students begin final exams.
Division officials confirmed Friday morning that vandals struck HRHS on the evening of June 18.

According to the division, the graffiti contained “explicit, hurtful, and inaccurate statements.”
Staff immediately began removing the messages Friday morning so school operations could continue as scheduled.
The vandalism follows a recent announcement by theLloydminster RCMP. Earlier this week, police confirmed they are investigating allegations of unprofessional conduct by a local teacher.
Police launched the probe after a video capturing a “verbal interaction” involving an employee began circulating widely on social media.
On June 16, Staff Sgt. Bruce MacLean urged the public to refrain from organizing protests or spreading unverified rumours online, noting that the final exam period was about to begin.
LCSD officials echoed those concerns Friday, emphasizing that the vandalism directly disrupts students during a high-stress period. Grade 8 and 9 students scheduled their exams for Friday morning. Meanwhile, senior students will write theirs in the afternoon.
“The individual responsible for this vandalism is not acting in the best interests of students,” the school division said in a statement. “Our students have worked extremely hard throughout the year and they deserve an environment that allows them to focus on their learning, achievements and success.”
However, the division added that property damage does not reflect its values, urging appropriate channels for concern.
No arrests have been announced in relation to the vandalism.
Currently, Lloydminster RCMP is still investigating the initial online complaints. They request anyone with direct knowledge of that interaction to contact police.
