MARVIN GARRY MARDELL JUNE 28TH ,1953 – JUNE 4TH, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marvin Garry Mardell on June 4th 2026, at the age of 72. Marving was born in Prince Albert, Sask. to Peter and Bertha Mardell on June 28th 1953. Marvin met “the love of his life” Dianne in 1971. They married the following year and moved to Lloydminster. They had two sons, Chris in 1974 and Terry in 1976. They moved to Lashburn im 1978 where they lived for 15 years, before moving back to Lloydminster. Marvin mainly worked in retail for many years, then went to work for QuikPik for the next twenty plus years, until he retired in 2021. Aside from Dianne and his family, Marvin’s next love was vehicles, working on them, talking about them going to car shows and watching car shows. He also loved camping and travelling. He was very handy, he could repair just about anything. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of just about 54 years, Dianne, sons Chris (Tracy) Terry (Angie), grandchildren Brett, Cody and Shelby. His sister in law Freda (Ric) Hutchinson brothers in law Bruce (Janet) Cowan, Cary Cowan and Maynard (Maria) Smith, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Marvin was predeased by his parents Peter and Bertha Mardell, stepfather Jim McKenzie, mother in law Edith (Ray) Leguerrier, father in law Leonard Cowan, sister in law Janet Smith and nephew Rob Dumont. We would like to thank the staff at the Lloyd hospital, home care, and Olivia at the palliative car. Thank you Riley at Creech’s for all your help.
