Heavy machinery, emergency response vehicles and municipal service equipment will take over Bud Miller All Seasons Park next month for the return of Wheels at Work.

The free community event takes place Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Residents of all ages can explore a hands-on display of City vehicles, interact with municipal operators and learn about the infrastructure that keeps Lloydminster running. A complimentary barbecue, provided by GFL, will also be available while supplies last.
Featured vehicles and equipment scheduled to be on display include:
- Emergency vehicles, including a Pump 21 fire truck, Rescue 17 equipment, Community Peace Officer vehicles and RCMP equipment
- Heavy utility trucks, such as hydro-vac units, tandem trucks, street sweepers and GFL garbage trucks
- Maintenance and groundskeeping gear, including a Zamboni, graders, mowers, loaders and boom sprayers
Organizers note the vehicle lineup remains subject to change based on availability.
In addition to the equipment lineup, interactive information booths will give attendees insight into upcoming City initiatives, including the 2027 Municipal Budget engagement, the Traffic Bylaw, extended producer responsibility recycling and the Street Improvement Plan.
