Mounties announced charges against 30-year-old Robert Lee Plourde of Turtleford, Sask., on June 10 following an extensive investigation into the Nov. 10, 2025, incident.

Police first launched the investigation after two men arrived at the Lloydminster Hospital suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Investigators later determined the shooting was a targeted, gang-related attack, subsequently locating the crime scene and a vehicle involved in the incident.

Search warrants executed by local RCMP general investigation and forensic identification units led to the recovery of the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. Forensic analysis by the RCMP National Forensic Laboratory Services later helped investigators identify Plourde as a suspect.

Plourde is facing several firearms-related charges, including discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm and three counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Police have been unable to locate Plourde and are turning to the public for assistance. He is described as having a medium complexion, standing five-foot-ten, weighing 264 pounds, with a teardrop tattoo near his left eye.

Anyone with information on Plourde’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
