Meadow Lake RCMP is investigating a weekend shooting on the Waterhen Lake First Nation that left two people injured.

Mounties responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on the First Nation at about 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 13.
Upon arrival, officers located two injured adults. Local emergency medical services transported both individuals to the hospital. Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or video surveillance of suspicious activity in the area on June 13 to contact Meadow Lake RCMP at 310-RCMP.

Police said they will notify the public if an imminent risk to public safety is identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
