Fink’s achievements athletically and academically have earned her an NCAA Division 1 scholarship from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
Before graduating from Lloyd Comp this week, Fink closed her high school athletic career with a double-medal performance at the Saskatchewan provincials earlier this month at Saskatoon’s Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
With a 56.12 clocking, she captured gold in the senior girls’ 400 metres. Silver went to Naysa Woods (57.40) of Saskatoon’s Centennial Collegiate and the bronze-medallist was Hannah Gates (58.02) of Sheldon Williams Collegiate in Regina.
Fink was the silver-medallist in the senior girls’ 200-metre race. Finishing in 24.96 seconds, she narrowly placed behind Valley Christian Academy’s Rosie Braun (24.93). Third place went to Moose Jaw Peacock’s Cambria Stuehler (25.45).
Fink broke three records during her triple-gold showing at the Northwest district meet on her home track in Lloydminster.
