The Lloydminster Prairie Pirates head to Strathmore this weekend as the top seed in Baseball Alberta’s 18U AA Tier 5 provincial championship.

The six-team tournament runs Friday through Sunday (July 24 to 26) at Kinsmen Diamond in Strathmore.
Lloydminster meets the host Strathmore Reds, the fourth seed, at 6 p.m. Friday and the sixth-ranked Drayton Valley Giants at the same time Saturday.
The other pool is comprised of the No. 2 Parkland Twins, the third-seeded Coronation Royals and the fifth-ranked Bonnyville Braves.
Playoff action is scheduled for Sunday, with the semifinals at noon and 3 p.m. and the final set for 6 p.m.
Lloyd, with a 17-6 record, has had a strong season under head coach Masen Anderson.
