The wave pool had been closed while crews repaired the facility’s wave pool pump piping.

During the annual maintenance closure, the city also completed several facility-wide upgrades, including refurbishing the water slide, renovating the sauna, repairing tiles, painting the meeting room, and conducting extensive cleaning.

“These improvements help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming facility for swimmers, families, and other aquatic centre users,” the city said in a media release.

The facility operates Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to check the current swim schedule online here before visiting, as programming and pool availability vary throughout the day.
