Two people face drug trafficking charges after RCMP seized cocaine during a late-night traffic stop in west-central Saskatchewan last week.

Turtleford RCMP say officers were conducting proactive patrols near Highway 21 in the Rural Municipality of Frenchman Butte at about 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 24 when they spotted a truck driving without its lights on.
After stopping the vehicle, police determined the driver was banned from driving and noticed drug trafficking paraphernalia in plain view inside the truck.
Officers arrested all three occupants. A search of the vehicle yielded 40 grams of suspected cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Colby Riguidel, 32, of the RM of Frenchman Butte, and Christine Russel, 45, of St. Walburg, Sask., are each charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Riguidel is further charged with driving while prohibited and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The third person in the vehicle was released without charges.
Both accused were scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Sept. 28.
