Randy Lysohirka, 40, remains in custody on a second-degree murder charge and is scheduled to appear again in Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m., according to court officials.
Lysohirka made his first court appearance this week and was remanded into custody, according to Saskatchewan Provincial Courts.

He is charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting that RCMP say happened at about 11:09 a.m. on Sept. 21 on 50 Ave. near 47 St. in Lloydminster.
RCMP previously identified the victim as 22-year-old Lloydminster resident Nolan Whitstone, who was declared dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, according to RCMP.
RCMP announced a warrant for Lysohirka’s arrest on Sept. 23 and said officers located and arrested the Lloydminster resident without incident the following day at a rural residence outside Maidstone, Sask., after receiving numerous tips from the public.
Police had earlier warned that investigators believed Lysohirka was still in possession of a firearm and asked the public not to approach him if seen, according to a CBC report on the arrest.
The charge against Lysohirka has not been tested in court, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
His next scheduled appearance in Saskatchewan Provincial Court is Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m. Meridian Source will provide updates as the case proceeds through the court system.
