Normal school operations have resumed at Lloydminster Comprehensive High School after police lifted a lockdown and subsequent hold and secure following a student-related incident Wednesday morning.

The Lloydminster Public School Division initially placed the facility on lockdown as a precautionary measure before reducing it to a hold and secure. Division officials confirmed that all staff and students are safe and regular activities have resumed.
Lloydminster RCMP reported that one individual was taken into custody during the initial response. Police have since concluded a thorough search of the building and confirmed the heavy police presence is over, with no active threat or risk to the public.
Mounties say they are taking the incident seriously and the investigation remains ongoing.
