The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has introduced a new online system to keep the public informed about emergency room service disruptions across the province.

Starting Monday, Nov. 10, all emergency service interruptions, no matter how long they last, are being posted on the SHA website. The updates will be refreshed daily at 4 p.m., seven days a week.
The new webpage, available at saskhealthauthority.ca/servicedisruptions, lists affected facilities alphabetically and links to community-specific notices through the SHA’s Facilities & Locations directory.
When emergency services are unavailable, signage will be posted at the impacted facility, and HealthLine 811 will carry up-to-date information. Patients and families can call HealthLine 811 toll-free, 24 hours a day, to check service availability or receive advice from registered nurses and other health professionals.
The SHA said it is also developing a more user-friendly public interface to support real-time updates in the future.
In any life-threatening emergency, residents should continue to call 911 so paramedics can provide immediate care and transport patients to the nearest available medical facility.
