At home and on the road, the Lloydminster Twins were well-represented in Baseball Alberta 13U AA provincial championship tournaments last weekend.

The top-ranked Twins Red were silver-medallists at the 13U AA Tier 5 provincials in Red Deer.
They won three consecutive games before losing 9-6 to the fifth-seeded Oyen Orioles in the gold-medal match.
Lloydminster blanked the No. 3 Kneehill Kings 10-0 in their semifinal earlier Sunday.

In divisional round-robin play, the Twins Red defeated the fourth-ranked Sherwood Park Athletics Green 16-6 and the sixth-seeded Red Deer Rangers, the host team, 18-10.
Back in the Border City, the Twins Blue hosted the 13U AA Tier 8 provincials at Lloydminster’s Driven Energy Legion Ball Park. After losing a couple of preliminary games, the third-ranked Twins Blue posted a 17-7 victory over the No. 4 South Jasper Place Jays Blue in the consolation final Sunday.
In divisional round-robin games, Lloyd lost 23-15 to the second-seeded Fort McMurray Oil Giants Blue on Friday afternoon and 16-4 to the No. 5 Irma Tigers on Saturday morning.
