On July 6 at approximately 2:28 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP were dispatched to a break and enter in progress to a residential building on 18 Street and 47 Ave.
When police arrived, the suspect was gone, however, the home owner did provide a description of the person involved. RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) were contacted, and a successful track was completed.
As a result of the investigation, Victor Raul Mendez, 18, a resident of Lloydminster has been charged with the following:
- Break and enter to a residence
- Disguised with intent to commit an offence
- Fail to comply
Mendez has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 13.
