ALLEN: Elaine Faulkner Somerville Allen passed away at Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on August 30, 2023 at the age of 92 years. Elaine is survived by: her 4 daughters, 1, Betty Allen; and son Dave Mark; 2, Brenda ( Sheldon) Servold; grandchildren Shelena (Jason) Ask; great grandchildren, Malcolm and Winston Ask; grandchild, Nicole Servold; grandchildren, Bonnie(Tyler) Christie; great grandchildren, Benson and Mila Christie; 3, Shelly (Rick)Lyon; grandchildren, Rob Lyon (Jess Hawthorn) and Kristina Lyon-Winacott (Andrew Winacott); great grandchildren, Jacob Lyon, Gavin and Grace Winacott; and grandchild, Shawn Lyon; 4, Barbara Tatro (Harley Tatro); grandchild, Torey Tatro; grandchildren, Dan (Breanne)Tatro; siblings, Rosemary (Ed) Lucas, Winnie (Rod) Frasier and Joe (Pat)Batty; many more nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by: her husband of 53 years, Jack Allen; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Bessie) Batty; sister, May Blatchford (Bud Blatchford); nephews, David Blatchford and Barry Blatchford; brother-in-law, Bert Cooper; sister in-law, Lois (Bert) Cooper; The Funeral Service for Elaine was conducted from Southridge Community Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ken Fisher officiating. If you were unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Elaine’s obituary. The interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or LRHF – Jubilee Home Patient Comfort Fund. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The Allen family would like to thank all those who showed their support. Our Mom had several years of declining health and we appreciated and want to thank doctors Tinesha Govender and Adel Naude; thanks to the staff at Dr. Hemstock Assisted Living, Points West Living and Jubilee Home for the loving care and support you showed Mom and our family in helping make each new site seem like home.
