A liquid asphalt spill on 52 St. has closed the road between 50 Ave. and 62 Ave.
The Lloydminster Fire Department responded to the incident late Sunday evening to assist with shutting down the road.
The City confirmed the spill was from a vehicle operated by an industrial service company. The City in a press release said, "Measures are being taken to mitigate environmental damage and limit the amount of material entering the stormwater system."
There's no estimated time for 52 St. to reopen. Updates will be provided when more information is available.
