Update 10:20 a.m. –
One person has been killed and another seriously injured after a plane crash outside of Lloydminster on Sept. 8, according to Saskatchewan RCMP media relations.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP received reports of a plane crash. Maidstone, Kitscoty and Lloydminster RCMP responded.
The plane was located near Township Road 492 and Range Road 3274 in Maidstone’s detachment area.
The 32-year-old male pilot from Quebec was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. An adult male passenger was transported by STARS air ambulance with injuries described as serious. The family of the deceased had already been notified according to RCMP.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is sending investigators to the scene of a plane crash that occurred on Sept. 8.
According to the TSB, a Cessna U206F crashed roughly 12 kilometres southeast of Lloydminster shortly after 6 p.m. last night.
Legacy Regional Protective Services stated a plane was found down in the Regional Municipality of Wilton shortly after 7 p.m.
There is no information on the condition or number of occupants.
STARS air ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
