Fuel Good Day is about to roll around again at local Lloydminster and District Co-op gas bars to help feed hungry students.
On Tuesday, five cents from every litre of fuel sold at all four Lloyd Co-op gas bars will be donated to to Lloydminster Catholic School Division and Lloydminster Public School Division (LPSD) breakfast programs.
It’s one of the favourite charities of the year for LPSD director of education Jason Neville.
“LPSD is incredibly grateful to the Co-op for their generous support through Fuel Good Day,” said Neville.
He’s encouraging everyone to head to the pumps on Sept. 17, to support this initiative
“The funds raised will go directly to our breakfast programs, ensuring that our students start the day nourished and ready to learn. It’s heartwarming to see how our community comes together to invest in the well-being and success of our children.”
Charity BBQs will also be held at Lloyd Co-op gas bars from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with all proceeds invested in rural school breakfast programs:
Ironwells Co-op Gas Bar (east): Marwayne Jubilee School
18 Street Crossing Co-op Gas Bar (south): Kitscoty Elementary School
Hampton Square Co-op Gas Bar (west): Neilburg School
North Stop Co-op Gas Bar (north): Hillmond Central Schoo
