On behalf of Peyton, our family would like to sincerely thank the community of Lloydminster and the surrounding region for the incredible support we have received — and continue to receive — throughout Peyton’s battle with childhood cancer.

We have been truly overwhelmed by the number of people and hockey teams who have rallied around Peyton. From players she has shared the ice with, to those she has never met, to young female hockey players who simply wanted to help — please know that we have seen you, we have heard you, and we are deeply grateful.

From the individual fundraisers and generous donations, both from teams and individuals, to the countless thoughtful messages — we cannot fully express how much this has meant to us. While we are incredibly proud of the Lloydminster hockey community, it is clear this support extends far beyond that, reaching across the entire city and surrounding area.

Your kindness and compassion mean more to us than words can capture. The way this community comes together to support one another is truly remarkable, and what you have done for our family is something we will never forget.

Lloydminster is a very special place to us. Peyton is proud to have played there over the past five years and to have spent time living there with a wonderful billet family during treatments.

As Peyton continues to recover from her life-saving surgery and moves forward with further treatment, we often reflect on the incredible support from your community.

It gives us strength, and it gives Peyton even more motivation to keep fighting.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

– Scott, Stacey, Peyton and Carson Walker
