Scheduled for Oct. 14 and 15 at the Lloydminster Exhibition Association’s WLS Convention Centre, this year’s event will run under the theme “Beyond the Expected.”

The two-day conference aims to bring municipal leaders, emergency responders, industry professionals and non-profits together to analyze real-world lessons from uncommon emergencies. Attendees will have access to a robust trade show, networking opportunities and demonstrations of innovative disaster response tools.

Organizers have announced Tim Wise as a featured speaker for the 2026 lineup. Wise, who brings more than 39 years of emergency management experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas sectors, will lead a breakout session titled Municipal Emergency Response to Industrial Facilities: A Collaborative Approach to Industrial Incident Management.

His presentation will address the unique challenges that arise as industrial facilities expand closer to residential communities.

“Municipalities face new opportunities alongside increasingly complex emergency response challenges,” organizers said in a release, noting that Wise will share strategies on how municipal and industrial teams can build stronger, highly interoperable relationships.

The session will focus on high-risk incident planning, unified command structures and multi-agency joint training designed to foster more resilient communities.

In addition to speaker presentations, trade show applications are now officially open for businesses and non-profits looking to showcase their services to emergency management decision-makers.
