Police say multiple vehicles were damaged in a similar manner, with suspects breaking windows to gain entry before attempting to steal them. All of the vehicles targeted so far have been Hyundai models.

The investigations are ongoing and officers are seeking information to identify those responsible.

Mounties are also urging residents to take steps to reduce the risk of theft. Suggested measures include using steering wheel locks, ensuring vehicles are locked, keeping valuables and keys out of sight and parking in well-lit areas. Police also recommend installing dash cameras, home surveillance systems and aftermarket immobilizers or GPS tracking devices.

Anyone with information about the incidents, including dash camera or surveillance footage showing suspicious activity or vehicle windows being broken, is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at P3Tips.com.
