Local non-profits in Lloydminster are getting a boost as the city reviews its latest round of community funding.

On Aug. 10, City of Lloydminster manager of social programs and services Patrick Lancaster updated the Governance and Priorities Committee on how municipal grants are making a difference across the border city.
The report provided a review of the completed 2025 grant cycle alongside current operations for 2026, focusing on three core funding streams administered by the city:
- Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant Program: Supports preventive social initiatives that build community capacity and foster well-being.
- Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program: Directs funding toward local sport, culture, and recreational opportunities.
- Safe and Healthy Communities Grant Program: Provides targeted financial assistance to non-profit organizations delivering vital community programs and services within municipal limits.
The Community Services Advisory Committee evaluates grant applications and submits recommendations to city council for final approval.
The presentation highlighted the city’s commitment to using grant funds efficiently to address local needs.
