The company is constructing a stand-alone facility at its Spruce Lake steam-assisted gravity drainage site to introduce the diluent solvent-aided process (DilSAP).

The technology injects condensate alongside steam into the reservoir, which improves steam effectiveness, reduces greenhouse gas emissions intensity per barrel, and is expected to increase production by roughly 10,000 barrels per day. The facility currently produces about 28,000 barrels per day and employs 25 full-time staff.

Community members and stakeholders are invited to attend the open house on Aug. 20 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Spruce Lake Community Centre to ask questions and speak with company experts.
