A Lloydminster man is facing multiple child exploitation-related charges following an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.

ICE Unit investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Lloydminster on Nov. 4, where electronic devices were examined on-site and seized for further analysis.

As a result, 21-year-old Matthew Aldon Blyth was charged with:

  • One count of making child sexual abuse and exploitation material;
  • One count of accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material;
  • Two counts of making child sexual abuse and exploitation material available to others; and
  • Three counts of possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material

These offences were previously referred to in law as child pornography-related charges; the terminology in the Criminal Code was updated on Oct. 10, 2025.

Blyth was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Nov. 17.
