“While we will undertake a thorough investigation to determine the cause, we currently believe it is an issue with a well casing. We continue to work closely with the Ministry of Energy and Resources as we safely execute activities on site.

“We are continuously monitoring the air quality both at site and in the surrounding areas. We recognize this water vapour is resulting in an odour in the communities.
“Fluids onsite are being contained within berms to prevent them from entering any waterways. We are regularly monitoring nearby water bodies and there is no impact.
Rush Lake 1 and 2 are safely shut in.”
