It takes place under an open-air tent at Lakeland’s Research Centre on the Vermilion campus.
“Every ticket purchased for Feast on the Farm is a powerful investment in immersive learning experiences like no other that leave a lasting impact for our students and communities,” said Alice Wainwright-Stewart, Lakeland College president and CEO.
Since launching in 2016, the event has raised more than $342,000 to support student projects and hands-on learning.
Past proceeds have funded equipment for the emergency training centre and student-managed farm.
Funds have also supported student-led tax clinics, international teaching trips, a family literacy project and more.
Feast on the Farm helps students apply classroom theory in real-world settings before graduation.
The 2025 event also marks the fourth straight year Cenovus Energy has served as presenting sponsor.
The company’s support for Lakeland extends beyond the event. Cenovus contributes to the college’s student awards program and helped fund the energy centre and residence village in Lloydminster.
In 2023, the company also donated $650,000 to support Indigenous students.
Feast on the Farm features live music by Abygale Durie and highlights student-led learning initiatives across Lakeland campuses.
