One person is dead following a targeted shooting Monday morning in Lloydminster, and police are asking the public for assistance.

Lloydminster RCMP responded to a report of shots fired near 50 Ave. and 47 St. at about 11 a.m. on Sept. 21. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the incident was targeted and noted the suspect remains at large.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is asking anyone with video footage of the area between 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., or any relevant information, to contact the Lloydminster RCMP detachment at 780-808-8300.
