Vermilion RCMP responded to 210 calls for service in February. Officers dealt with traffic complaints, property crimes, and persons crimes.
Traffic and vehicle-related issues made up 78 calls. Property crimes accounted for 37 reports. Police also handled 22 persons crimes, 15 traffic collisions, and two suspicious person or vehicle complaints.

Among the property crimes, 10 were mischiefs, two were break and enters, 18 were thefts, and four were frauds. However, no vehicles were reported stolen.
Additionally, officers responded to seven calls related to spousal abuse and five related to mental health concerns.
Throughout the month, RCMP laid 58 charges. These included 30 under the Criminal Code, two under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and 26 provincial offences.
Meanwhile, seven criminal charges involved failing to comply with conditions or court orders. Furthermore, six were for property crimes, four for weapons offences, and 11 for persons crimes.
Additionally, police also issued two notices of administrative penalties for impaired driving.
