The Fill the Seats campaign is receiving $15,000 from the Saskatchewan Summer Games Legacy Fund.

The contribution is part of more than $150,000 revenue surplus generated by the sold-out 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games.

“We are thrilled to support the Cenovus Energy Hub’s Fill the Seats campaign with a $15,000 contribution from the Summer Games Legacy Fund Program,” said co-chairs Wendy Plandowski and Aaron Rawlake.

“This funding, made possible through the success of the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games, represents more than just dollars – it’s an investment in a project that will leave a lasting legacy for our community and region.”

Lloydminster Mayor Gerald Aalbers gave his thanks for the funding for the ongoing campaign.

“I am proud to see the success of the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games contribute to the growth of our community through the Fill the Seats campaign,” said Aalbers. “The $15,000 contribution from the Summer Games Legacy Fund Program will help support the development of the Cenovus Energy Hub, supporting sport, recreation and culture for years to come.”
