Puppy Luv Paradise hosted a multi-charity 10th anniversary event in Lloydminster on April 11.
Puppy Luv Paradise has expanded from grooming into a premier Lloydminster hub for dog training, obedience classes and daycare.
“Helping out animals in need is second nature,” said owner Nikki Towner, whose background in animal rescue dates back to 2011.
The anniversary celebration served as a massive fundraiser for several local organizations:
- Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS): A charity BBQ was held in support of the long-standing rescue group.
- Border Paws Animal Shelter (SPCA): Attendees met adoptable dogs on-site, while the shelter collected donated items and offered pet photos by Chelsey Grant Photography.
- Canine Action Project (CAP): The event featured walk-in nail trims and pawprint crafts to support spay, neuter, and vaccination clinics in Saskatchewan First Nation communities.
- Lloydminster Rescue Squad: A bottle drive was held to support the squad, which co-owns George, a local therapy dog known for visiting senior homes and the local Youth Centre.

The “client appreciation” portion of the day saw the first 50 attendees receive complimentary puppy packs and gift bags.
They offered free dog training consultations, live demonstrations and creative pet grooming showcases.
Reflecting on the milestone, the team expressed gratitude to the clients who have become like “extended family” over the years.
“It’s an honour to help pets in Lloydminster look, feel, and act their best,” said Towner. “We hope to continue providing these services to the community and surrounding area for many years to come.”
